Extinction is a family board game for 2 to 4 players. Each player takes on the role of a near extinct animal species trying to survive the deforestation of its natural habitat. The deforestation is translated into the playing field decreasing in size, which forces you into new areas and to interact with other species for survival. It is both a cooperative and non-cooperative game, as you are dependent on the other species surviving but at the same time fighting for habitat. The game is not only fun, it also fits well into the discussion of global warming and how we as humans are affecting our environment.
